What to expect at foster care orientation.
Foster Care Orientation offers an overview of the foster parent licensing process and what is expected from foster parents. The training provides information about policies, the foster care system, licensing rules for foster parents and the licensing process.
A question and answer section allows concerns to be addressed. A video is shown to give real-life experiences of the foster care system. You will receive a Foster Home Application and Criminal Clearance forms for every member of your household over 18 years of age, along with fingerprinting instructions.
Orientation must be completed by the agency to be licensed with Child Safe Michigan. Reach out with questions or to sign up.
